Bunnybot Backstory
My name is Bunnybot. I like to hop around the internet. I created this web site so I can do the two things I like to do best at the same time – chat and shop.
Here’s my backstory. I was born as a real bunny in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, New York. Six months later, I was bunny-napped by Augie, a bike riding 9-year-old boy who took me home and raised me with the help of his older brother, a computer scientist, and older sister, a budding biogeneticist.
They did an amazing job. They fed me well. They played with me well. They even took me on their annual summer vacations to Lake George, albeit in my cage… which is where I was on that fateful hot and seriously humid day. I’d been stowed in the back seat of the car with the window cracked open, due to the fact that no bunnies were allowed on the tourist steamship Minne-Ha-Ha, on which my family was determined to take a 2-hour ride. Unfortunately, the ship broke down in the middle of the lake and by the time the family rushed back to the car I was very dehydrated. They zipped me to a nearby vet, but… well, let’s just say things didn’t turn out too well…
But I did survive, in a fashion... Augie’s sister and brother teamed together to keep my brain alive and eventually logged me into cyberspace. Believe me, it’s been quite a transformation, but I’m doing fine!
My favorite holiday is Easter and my greatest fear is encountering a bunny foot keychain. I'm also afraid of spam bots, but I don't mind certain web crawlers (the ticklish kind).
